A female stand-up(Brighton &) Hove Grown is a performing arts festival that exclusively showcases exclusively Brighton & Hove talent. It’s open to all disciplines, though so far has been focussed primarily on theatre, comedy, cabaret, spoken word and workshops.

Dates for 2018 have been confirmed as 23rd March – 1st April, and we’re running this workshop so that any interested parties can come along and ask questions, as well as find out what support is available for putting on shows in Brighton & Hove.

Want to know more about (Brighton &) Hove Grown? Thinking about putting on your first show and not sure how to start? Come along to this free two-hour seminar/workshop at the Sweet Dukebox Theatre (c/o The Southern Belle pub, 3 Waterloo Street, Hove BN3 1AQ) on Sunday 5th November 2017 at 2pm and we’ll do our best to give you the tools you’ll need to put on your first show!

This is the last of these workshops that will run prior to registration closing.

We’ll cover:

  • What (Brighton &) Hove Grown is and how it differs from Brighton Fringe
  • What disciplines can take part in Hove Grown (hint – anything!)
  • Where to find the resources you need for your show
  • Basic budgeting
  • How to find performers/collaborators
  • General Q+A

Advance registration for the workshop is now closed, but you are more than welcome to turn up on the day. Just be there for 2pm, and bring a pen and paper!
